Vinification:

The wine is casked for an 9-month ageing period in 228 Liters oak barrels (including 2% new oak) on thin lees.

Tasting Notes:

Bright gold color with powerful floral and honey aromas with discret and very elegant wood notes. On palate with a rich and powerful wine with pineapple and pear flavors and a very elegant structure. Superb length in the mouth and delicate, racy woody notes.

Food pairing

Serve with delicatessen, cold cuts and seafood such as shellfish, crustaceans andfine fish.

Also be the perfect companion to hot courses, white meats in creamy sauce, and fine, dry or goat cheese.

Winery Story

Antonin Rodet is rooted at heart of Cote Chalonnaise since 1875 at times of phylloxera occurring in vineyard. From generation to generation, Rodet's generations are fierce defenders of the vineyard of Southern Burgundy. They cultivate the vineyards of the Château de Rully and Château de Mercey. Their white wines are distinguished by purity and harmonious balance, while red wines are easily discernible by their consistent structure and strong aromatic potential.
