Vinification: Aapproximately 14 months after fermentation the blending takes place. Ageing: lasts approximately 2 years in oak barrels from the forest of Allier of which 1/3 new.

Chateau Filhot has been run by the family since the early 18th century and is still passed down by their descendants today. The winery has a large area and is geographically close to the lake and the forest. The temperature is relatively cool, and the botrytis sweet wine produced has good acidity and balance.
