Tasting Notes:
This 2015 Cuvée des Roses, with 100% Pinot Meunier grapes, is made using grape clusters harvested by hand from a single parcel. This particular choice of black grapes with white juice gives the rosé a strong aroma of blackcurrant and creamy jams. One sip will surely transport you back to your childhood. Crisp and fresh, you’ll be moved by its pleasant balance and its finish with subtle notes of red berries.

Winery Story
Bruno Michel is an organic winegrower. He started a vine nursery in the 1980s, and and founded an estate with his wife Catherine in Pierry in 1985, a few km south of Epernay. Their 12-hectare vineyard is composed of over 35 parcels, planted with 50% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Meunier and the rest Pinot Noir.
Their champagnes are made in the same village, in vaulted, limestone caves, which offer a constant cool temperature and humidity that allow the champagnes to age slowly in order to bring out their best aromas.
Catherine and Bruno Michel first turned to biodynamic agriculture in 1998 and then transitioned to organic winemaking methods. Their fascinating and demanding work culminated in 2004 when they were awarded an Ecocert and Vegan certification.
